Chic was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1962 with a BSBA in Business and in December of 1964 with a LLB (J.D.) in Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in June of 1965.
After practicing with J.R. Lowery for seven years, he founded his own AV-rated firm in Gainesville, Florida in 1972. In August of 2010, he merged his law firm with that Carpenter & Roscow, P.A. to form Holden, Carpenter & Roscow, PL. His areas of practice are Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, and General Commercial Law. He is an approved title agent for First American Title Insurance Company and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.
